Beauty beyond boundaries
Healthy emotional boundaries build great relationships. Physical boundaries keep us safe while driving and builds our homes.
So how can boundaries do such harm when it comes to our personal development? Because the odds are, your boundaries are located in the wrong spot.
It's our human nature to seek comfort and safety. And that's a central problem with our development and daily life. Catalytic growth, our development, and core joy happen just beyond our boundary of comfort.
May this be your challenge, your new awareness to move your boundary just beyond what you can handle. Set your sights, goals, dreams beyond what you can accomplish in your strength. You will be amazed what happens when you live your life truly depending on God to show up.
There is growth beyond boundaries.
Have you implanted your company's microchip in your hand yet?
If you are not aware of the big story of the week...then let me fill in a few blanks. A company in Wisconsin is the first US based company to offer microchips implanted in it’s employees. Press release
"We foresee the use of RFID technology to drive everything from making purchases in our office break room market, opening doors, use of copy machines, logging into our office computers, unlocking phones, sharing business cards, storing medical/health information, and used as payment at other RFID terminals. Eventually, this technology will become standardized allowing you to use this as your passport, public transit, all purchasing opportunities, etc." 32M CEO, Todd Westby.
We are entering a new era, and as odd as this seems right now, it’s fairly easy to see how this will grow and be more adopted. We currently see this type of technology used with our pets, inserting these chips for identification, we also see some medical use cases, but it’s fairly rare. There are more examples in Europe you can read about. And of course, if you hit the Wikipedia page you can scroll to the bottom and see the reference to Revelation chapter 13.
For the record, I don’t plan on having a microchip implanted anytime soon. However, the thought of not carrying a wallet and keys sounds amazing. :)

Work-Life Balance
The struggle with work-life balance is real. It's a conversation I have with people nearly every week. The part I realized long ago, and this article highlights it: “even in my most unbalanced times, most of the pressure was internal.” The quicker we realize the pressure we put on ourselves, and change our behavior, the better. Six days ago I read this article. I am constantly trying to live in the tension of digital and connectedness combined with freedom and not being addicted to my phone. I am working to implement many of these tips. Currently, all but text notifications on my phone are turned off. Link
