Dispatch w.26.2018
The last two weeks off with the family have been amazing. A week in Washington DC followed by a week in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. I know what your thinking...Core dah-what? I know, right. But if you have not looked up Coeur d'Alene (core - dah - lane), you need to. All of Northern Idaho seems to be beautiful. I initially heard about Coeur d'Alene from my brother, who a few years back participated in an Ironman there, and he raved about how amazing it was. Then friends of ours, Pace and Sarah Hartfield, moved to CDA and planted One Place Church. We loved starting in DC, having a full and busy week then pulling it way back and relaxing and having a laid-back week in CDA. Thank you Pace and Sarah for being fabulous hosts to our family.

DIGERATI INTERNSHIPS
Life.Church has been doing internships for a long time, but our Digerati teams are new to the internship game. In the past year or so we have been experimenting and trying different approaches and have landed a great program. Our fall session deadline is approaching quickly (July 15th) and space is limited. If you know someone who would like to develop their skills, grow personally, and change the world, let them know about https://www.life.church/techinternship/
FAITH AND WORK
This week, the Open Digerati Blog wrapped up a series titled “Faith Impacts Our Work.” Each post has explored the passionate faith and work life of different people working in tech.
Throughout the series, we heard from four of my friends who are passionately integrating their faith with their work.
Brandon Donaldson (Life.Church, Open Digerati Director) wrote on the how and why faith impacts our work.
Sue Warnke (Salesforce, Director of documentation) shared how she created an employee resource group of faith at Salesforce.
Mark Louie (Google, Senior Program Manager) wrote about practical tips for applying faith at work.
Mark Krejci (Facebook, Product Designer) shared about how Facebook boldly prioritizes people and how that aligns with what Christ has called us to.
I encourage you to read any or all of these posts. No matter where you work, these posts will inspire and motivate you.
