Recently, while revisiting physical and digital convergence with Matt and the Bible Labs team, the conversation took us back to this Japanese magic calendar. I see a future with more convergence of the physical and digital. For example, Amazon launched the Echo Wall Clock. Devices like our smartphones are great, they do so many functions...but sometimes we want devices to one thing, distraction-free.
When Ray Dalio speaks, it's worth listening. His book "Principals", as I have mentioned many times, is amazing. I stumbled across this Investors Archive interview with Dalio about Capitalism, China, and the Financial Crisis.
I love when favorites collide. This week I discovered one such collision as I searched for a podcast to listen to while running. The Art of Manliness (AOM) is a favorite podcast of mine...as well as Craig's Leadership Podcast. Well, AOM podcast #457 is an awesome interview with Pastor Craig! Listen now.
My friend and virtual mentor, Dan Rockwell delivers amazing content daily! Crazy impressive. You might be wondering what a digital mentor is...well, it's simple. It's someone in the digital space from whom you are strategically learning. I learn from Dan weekly, and this article is just another fantastic read I recommend.
As we get closer to year end, that can only mean we are approaching a New Year. A typical part of the new year is goals, focuses, “Words”, resolutions, etc. I love new beginnings, and all the energy and excitement that comes from the “new.” I have been processing and praying for many weeks what my focus and direction for 2019 needs to be. In my quest, I ran across this interesting article. I like to keep my mind open to new ideas, new learnings, and I have to say the concept of not setting ambitious goals is odd to me. However, I am taking this new line of thinking seriously, and doing more research and learning! Check it out!
