Elon Musk says Tesla plans to launch an autonomous taxi service next year. The full details are unclear; however, the company plans to leverage its Autopilot technology for the project. Riders will be able to summon a car via a mobile app, and Tesla will operate its own fleet of self-driving vehicles. Model 3 and Model S owners in some areas will be able to temporarily lease out their vehicles for the service. (read more)

Apple spends more than $30M on AWS storage each month, according to CNBC sources. Apple reportedly has a commitment to spend at least $1.5B on AWS products over five years. The company has previously revealed it uses AWS to power its iCloud service, and Apple also uses Google Cloud and Microsoft’s Azure in other parts of its business. (read more)
